Hope in the “Knight” of Darkness

I haven’t posted in a while, due to a new summer teaching job, and a desperate race to the finish my novel rewrite.  I was going to post up a few movie reviews — but given the recent happening in Aurora, CO I decided to link to a post by a woman who was in the movie theater with her two daughters.

So You Still Think God is a Merciful God?

Some people might wonder at the focus on this shooting.  Bad things happen all over the world.  I get that.  But to stop mourning them due to their prevalence is to deny the fact that man is created in the Image of God, and any evil is a sorrowful sign of this fallen world.  Thank God that there is a beautiful present/future hope and promise in Christ Jesus.

“I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33 (ESV)

For a look at the lighter side, I have a dear friend who is entering the world of speculative fiction blogging.  Her focus is on reviewing comic books, an area that is often overlooked or dismissed in Christian faith circles.  If you have a moment, give her a bit of grace and visit her site, Glory to God Reviews.  She’s still working out the kinks, but the content is sound, and her heart is indeed to glorify God.
