Humor is one of my favorites!
I cut my teeth on reading the likes of humorists Dave Barry, Jeff Foxworthy, Mike Royko, and others. I also downed Terry Pratchett, P.G. Wodehouse, and Douglas Adams like no tomorrow. In college, I sometimes got into trouble with using my distinctive voice in formal research papers–whoops!
Favorite Opening Line: “There once was a boy named Eustace Clarence Scrubb and he almost deserved it.” -C. S. Lewis
Humor is an element in all of my writing, be it a quirky heroine, a funny title, or an ironic scene ending. I’m super-excited about seeing more authors include humorous elements in their writing, speculative and otherwise!
